Munich – Elmar Wepper died of sudden heart failure in Munich on October 31, 202 at the age of 79. A wave of grief rolled over TV Germany, because not only for fans this news of death came as a surprise, also his Fritz Wepper (82) was not prepared for the sudden death of his brother. As the actor now reveals, he couldn't even say goodbye to him.

When asked what else Fritz Wepper would have liked to experience with his brother, he has a clear answer. "I just would have liked to see him again to say goodbye to him," the actor said in the BUNTE interview. "He was taken out of his life far too suddenly." The actor adds: "I've been on the phone with his son every day since he died." The two would never have talked about death. "There was no reason for him to talk about death," he explains. Elmar Wepper is now buried next to his mother in the family grave.

"My only consolation is that Elmar didn't have to suffer," Fritz Wepper told BILD. Nevertheless, it is inconsolable for him and the family. "It's hard to accept and can't be put into words at the moment. This mental loss cannot be compensated for by anything," the actor said at the time.
